We've got baby birds with little or no rudders ALL over the place.

The robins' clutch just left the nest a little over a week ago and there's a clutch of sparrows in the back that's just out of the nest. Damn are those things cute. I love how they follow the parents around and sit there with their mouths open waiting to be fed. Our yard and garden create somewhat of a bird magnet. It's rather nice actually.

1. Is now time for the babies to start walking and flying?

I'm wondering because there's a nest in our attic, cowbirds. We've been listening to the family grow up, it's neat! This fall or winter we'll have to fix the place they're getting in, but still it's cool that they were brave enough to make a nest there.
A friend told me it would take months for the babies to grow up but I don't know where they got that from, I thought baby birds grew up real fast.

I LOVE robins so much, they hop all around me whenever I sit outside. There must be birdy babies out there, I need to watch out for them today!
