Question for anyone familiar with Switzerland and the Lauterbrunnen Valley |
|
We are flying into Zurich and had planned on renting a car and driving at least near the Lauterbrunnen Valley (I believe there are no cars allowed there?). Is it better to take a train or bus from Zurich? Our problem is we need to leave on the fourth day to Fussen, Germany and had planned on using a rental car to get there. Any suggestions? Train costs seemed pretty steep compared to car rental.

1. Well, I've been to Interlaken, Grindelwald, Trimmelbach Falls, etc. Always drove. |

2. Germany, Switzerland, a car, driving a car, a car rental? No way. |

All, and I mean each and every of those roads were specifically designed, and meant to be used by ... a motorcycle. Which of course you can rent there, and it will be German made. You will love it. dc
