Ebay: Fair and Balanced...
Yup, my "Texas ANG George W Bush Commemorative Action Figure" (aka empty box) was remove from ebay for violating guidelines, even though Ebay has not provided a specific guideline which was violated.

And, it was a charity auction which had recived over 14,000 hits and US$75 in bids...

Hmmm... "only following orders"...

1. And They NEVER Will Be Specific...
... they prefer to take the easy way out and just let you know (in very vague terms) that you (somehow) violated (today's interpretation of) the guidelines.

Then they will only direct you to the guidelines html page and basically try to make you figure it out for yourself.

In all likelihood, YOU DID NOT VIOLATE any of the written rules. You merely offended some very vocal and litigious-like freepers who love to complain.

2. Well, we need to be just as loud.
It was a goddam JOKE, for chrissakes! They can't take a JOKE? Somebody wants to pay $75 for an empty box who KNOWS they're buying an empty box, and that somehow violates EBay's standards of conduct? Gimme a break!

I stopped using them after the last incident with the playing cards. I buy all my used CD's and DVD's from Amazon from now on. It's less of a headache anyway.
