Bad neck pain sucks so much. I'm fused from c2-c6. The recovery sucked. The neck brace really sucked. I can't imagine doing it again. God, the sternum bone doner site sucked. Thank god it worked.
My L5-S1 fusion don't correct the sciatica.. My spine hurts less but I have unrelenting pain in my legs. Would never have surgery again.
Seems like neuro surgeons worry more about arm and hand numbness as a symptom than they do about feet and legs.

That sounds so painful. Hope the second surgery will be a big success. Give him a gentle  from me, OK?
And here is one for you, because it will be hard for you too: :grouphug:

6. Thanks for everyone's kind thoughts |

What happened was there was no bone growth. He will be now wearing a hard collar and will have a bone stimulator as well. The doctor will also a cadaver bone because he doesn't want to put him in anymore pain by taking the bone from the hip.

I hope the next procedure is more successful and that he's not in (much?) pain.
