So I'm sitting here watching Avatar again
and I can't help but ask myself 2 questions.

1. Why am I watching Avatar again?

2. Why is it that humans have the technology to travel to planets light years away, but still use bullets in their weapons?

Off the top of my head, the only movies that have space travel with energy weapons are Star Wars and Star Trek movies. Captain Kirk or Luke Skywalker never ran out of ammo.

2. I never understood why conservatives hated that movie
when it was essentially about property rights. Or was it because the corporation and private military were portrayed negatively?

5. They are for property rights when the right pelple own the property.
The Avatars didn't seem to represent what they consider the right people.

4. Well...there are only a few good "themes"
Marketable ones anyway.

Jaws is essentially Beowolf.

Saw is essentially Leviticus.

9. A Man Called Horse
That's what I saw. But then I never saw Pocahontas. I'm sure he lifted things from a dozen movies.

12. Why in Starship Troopers did they fall for two bug sneak attacks?
And why didn't they use grenades all the time when clearly bullets didn't work?

7. Metal Bullets WORK
Why lug around or invent a multi-billion dollar "death ray" when you can have genocide for pennies on the pound?

10. Why lug around pounds of bullets when you can have a
blaster? It just seems like a contradiction to me - interplanetary travel but still using bullets.

17. Look on the bright side.
It's possible that James Cameron will get the George Lucas post-release "tinker" bug.

Maybe he'll go back and add a decent story when Avatar eventually comes out on HoloCube™.
