Bernie Sanders
Keith Olbermann
Rachel Maddow
Amy Goodman
Sam Seder
(not sure if any of these are Democrats, but they sure are lefty)

Repubs (I really can't think of a one I would want in the same room as me But ...)
Sarah Palin
David Koch (I would charge him for the meal)
Dick Armey
W (just so he would have to listen to others talk about what he's done)
One of them christianists like the guy that runs AFA

it would be like a Maher show. Hopefully the rich and religious would see how much they are loved.

2. I wouldn't invite any republicans because they'd eat all the food.

3. my list
Democrats:
Stephen Colbert
Keith Olbermann
Rachel Maddow
Bernie Sanders
Barbara Boxer

Republicans:
Megan McCain
Shannen Doherty
Dana Loesch
Carrie Prejean
Elizabeth Hasselback

I don't really think most modern day republicans have anything worthwhile to say, so I would invite the 5 women so I'd at least enjoy the view...

10. He is still around
he became an independent several years back, or I would have listed him as well.

Somebody once asked him that since he mostly agreed with the Democrats on the issues, why didn't he just become a Democrat - and, his response was something like, "because Democrats have no ____" (I think he said "balls", but he may have said "guts" or "spine" - I tried googling it a while ago and couldn't find anything.

8. It'd be hard to keep Ron Paul from whining. : >) Is Shep Smith
a repub? Is it just because he's on Fox? He's gotten himself
in trouble a couple times, though, hasn't he. Bet he'd be
interesting - especially his take on Katrina.

9. Well...
I included Collins and Snowe because they are more moderate than most of the other republican senators, and I would not want to have a very conservative republican at my dinner table ;)

And as far as Russel Honore, I was going by what his bio at wikipedia says:

Excerpt: In late August 2009, there were reports that Honoré would run for U.S. Senate in 2010 in his native Louisiana as a Republican against incumbent Republican Senator David Vitter.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Russel_L._Honor%C3%A9

I don't know if the reports were true or not, but to me he seems like he would be a dem and not a goper. But I had to have an extra person to put into the republican category - I think he would be a great person to have as a guest at dinner no matter what his party affiliation is :)
