I loved Florence when we were there 2 1/2 years ago.

It was taken at a parking place, called Piazza Michelangelo and it has a replica of the David statue. Another one stands in front of the Palazzo Vecchio, where the original stood.

I was actually only a day in Florence. We stayed at a vacation rental about an hour away from Florence. And where in the world don't you have a view in the Tuscany :D

Not sure how expensive it is to live there. Depends on where you live in the city I am sure.

A LOT of museums and historical sites. Damn, the whole city is a historical site :)
Most known museum is the Uffizi Gallery. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Uffizi

There is so much to see in Florence, one day isn't enough. But that is all I had. Guess I have to visit again :D

So much you would have wanted to do

When I was a kid our summer camp went to a big amusement park, and it was the highlight of the year, but after driving, stopping to eat, parking, getting our groups organized then getting tickets, we were only able to stay 2-3 hours -- And this was a full park on Saturday, so the lines were too long to even do much...

I had the advantage that I was in Florence two years ago already. We saw a lot more back then. This time the only new thing I saw was the baptistry http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Florence_Baptistery. Otherwise I didn't see as much as two years ago. It was mostly just enjoying the city and showing two friends around who never have been there before (and who were not really that much interested in the art).

I mean it is the best view of Florence after all :)

It was a fantastic trip. The Tuscany is just a wonderful area to visit. There is so much to see. Been in that area the second time and this time we visited more smaller towns and villages, which aren't as famous as Florence but still worth a visit.

Florence is so worth a visit. As are the towns around Florence, as is the Tuscany, as is Italy in general :D
