1. 'Justified' on FX
Edited on Mon Sep-19-11 12:22 AM by Rob H.
I actually bought the second season on iTunes because I got tired of waiting for it to come out on DVD. (I'm cheap, and I still bought it on iTunes! :P )

Edited for clarity.

8. FX also has "Wilfred" and "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia."
"Wilfred" just finished their 1st season. It's an Australian remake; FX's version is 1000% better. "Sunny" just started their 8th season; Comedy Channel has been playing re-runs all summer. Both great comedies.

Never even heard of "Justified" before tonight's Emmys but will definitely check it out. Thanks for the recommendation.

10. Now that True Blood is over, I think Wilfred is my favorite
We usually watch it On Demand over the weekend though. Also, I haven't seen anyone mention Psych, which is just plain fun with enjoyable characters.

Though I only know one other person who watches it. I think a lot of folks don't know about it.

after the first season ended and came out on DVD. I was less than halfway through the pilot episode before I thought, "Oh, yeah, I'm watching the rest of these."

2. Breaking Bad - AMC
Hi,
A rather complex show in my opinion, I always like shows with a lot of characters. If you watch you would have to start from the very start. I'm watching the current season, which I think is the last and am still confused by some events. I would highly recommend it though.

Peace

Hey,
Cool, just got done with tonight's episode, crazy stuff, glad there will be one more season. Good golly, I can't even imagine what all can take place in 16 episodes. Who is your favorite character?

Besides the main ones, I love the the lawyer.

Peace

7. The lawyer rocks, and I love Gus' whole demeanor.
And Pinkman trying to hold himself together is quite the spectacle. The way he took care of the cartel chemist in tonight's episode was hilarious!

I never thought I would want to watch the show, until I was flipping through channels a couple years ago and managed to land in the middle of a tense moment of an early episode being shown as a rerun. I watched it until the end and then downloaded the first two seasons, and my wife and I watched all of it almost nonstop over the next couple of days.

It's one of the best shows I've ever watched.

And they're all great characters.

I love Breaking Bad. And all the other AMC shows. Walking Dead, The Killing, all of them. I wish they hadn't taken The Rubicon away.

29. Breaking Bad is easily the best show on TV right now
there used to be great shows like Rome, The Shield, Deadwood, The Sopranos, LOST.. but all those are gone now. much of tv sucks.

19. How's this....
Lucy has the baby and Nelson is suddenly overcome with righteous guilt and visions of damnation and hellfire. Just like with Sebso, his departed Internal Revenue partner, Lucy winds up dead (although it's an open question whether she dies in the course of a "religious conversion," a la Sebso, or goes in a fit of Nelson's rage). Nelson then passes off the baby as a foundling to his wife, who has been hectoring him for quite some time about having a baby and her apparent inability to conceive. (I also saw a second-week episode synopsis that says Van Alden brings his wife to Atlantic City.) So, as far as Van Alden's concerned, two problems neatly solved -- just how he likes it.

The only possible wrinkle in this scenario is that I think Lucy Danziger actually existed, so perhaps killing her off would be too much. But there are other plot devices that can be used to take her out of the picture.

Myself, I'm anxious to see just how much deep shit Nucky is in this year.

30. Burn Notice is surprisingly good
all the actors are great - the characters are fun - and for a show that follows the same formula every episode - it still manages to be highly entertaining. it's not going to win critic awards the way The Wire did, but it is my second favorite show on tv - behind Breaking Bad. :hi:

Best drama on TV. What's addictive about it is the political intrigue. You can set that show in any era, and it would still be a great story.

Actually it just went on it's Fall break, but should be back in Dec. Castle started last night (ABC) and I think Body of Proof (ABC) starts this week too. But I'm still partial to L&O: SVU- curious to see what the new cast members are like.
Was really impressed by Necessary Roughness and Suits on USA this season. Suits won't be back until next summer- bummer.
