1. Sorry, but you are mistaken.

Knopfler's up there in the top 10 or 15, but the Trinity is still Hendrix, Clapton, Stevie Ray.

That's just the way it is.

I'm sure there will be aficionados of Page, Schon, that guy from Rush (whatever ...), etc. who will check in too.

10. Just found some albums he did with Hogan's Heroes

guy has a wide range, from Rock n roll ( and he knows how to rock!!!) to bluegrass.
There was an updated version of Man of Constant Sorrow which I really like.
I am fond of bluegrass, also.

He was a master at the craft without a doubt.

We have a phenomenon here in Tulsa, his name is Tommy Crook and Chet Atkins oce said in an interview he was the best guitar player he knew of. When Chet says something like that, you know the guy's gotta be good! :o
