It's Pink Floyd Week on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon
Why didn't somebody tell me?
They got groups covering Floyd songs and so far ...

Nick Mason was on Monday and the group The Shins covered "Breathe". Roger Waters was on Tuesday and performed "In The Flesh" with The Foo Fighters. He also said he's coming back to the US (w00t)!

Later in the week Pearl Jam!

I'm digging it baby!

5. Waters trend seems to be Anniversary tours of a particular Pink Floyd Album
In 2008 it was the 35th anniversary tour for "Dark Side of the Moon (released in 1973)
In 2010 it was the 30th anniversary tour for "The Wall" (technically released in 1979 but didn't get to the US until 1980).

For DSOTM he played Pink Floyd favorites the first half and then all of DSOTM the 2nd half of the show. For the Wall all he played was The Wall.

So following that trend Roger Waters could do tours for the following albums

The Piper at the Gates of Dawn (1967) - 45th anniversary, although with out Syd not really worth it.
Obscured by Clouds (1972) - 40th anniversary but kinda an obscure album
Animals (1977) - 35th Anniversary - this might be a good one for a tour. He already does the Pig in all his PF shows.
A Momentary Lapse of Reason (1987) - 20th anniversary but why would Roger Waters promote an album that was done after he left the band.

I'm thinking it's an Animals tour. I'd really dig that.

6. I'd love to see all of Animals ...
He did "Pigs On The Wing" during Pros and Cons, "Pigs (3 Different Ones)" during Radio Kaos and "Dogs" during In The Flesh. Love to hear "Sheep".

I ordered TDSOTM Immersion set yesterday and looking forward to it and the WYWH and Wall sets (too bad no Aniamls set).
