1. Can't stand Harry Potter. |
|
Apologies to anyone who likes it, but I think it's absolutely terrible. Star Wars, on the other hand, I love.

I write "fan fiction" based in both "worlds" and very much enjoy the characters and settings that Ms. Rowling and Mr. Lucas have created. Despite the above "similarities" I think both are very different creations, but both are rewarding to their fans.

Though, Harry Potter didn't have Jar Jar Binks in it.

10. In the books, Dobby was an excellent character |
|
He was a much more of a minor character in the movies (a lot of the things he did in the books were done by Neville Longbottom in the movies.)
However, even in the Chamber of Secrets movie, he was far less annoying than Jar Jar and kicked Lucius Malfoy's ass in the end.

11. Honestly, I'm only making a visual connection. |
|
I have to come clean - I've only read half of one of the Potter books. And I have yet to sit all the way through the the last two Star Wars flicks.

Han > Ron Hermione > Leia Darth Vader > He Who Shall Not Be Named Obi Wan = Dumbledore
So basically, it all comes down to a cage match between Chewbacca and Hagrid.

8. I'll take Harry Potter. |
|
The characters - in the books at any rate - were vastly more complex and real to me. The first three Star Wars movies were fun, but I never could get in to it that deeply.
