I'm looking online for ideas, but thought the Lounge would be just as good a resource for a non-cooking person. :hi:

13. I found the site a couple of nights ago on a food blog. I love sweet potatoes
and had followed a link about sweet potato & black bean burritos and saw the link in the comments.

Looks like some good ideas at the website.

8. Try "The Hot Mess"
Cover them with sea salt (get it to stick by wetting them down). This will keep them really moist inside.
Once cooked, open them up and put butter, cheese, scallions, and barbacoa on them. Drizzle with chipotle cream.
Recipe courtesy of PecanLodge.com.

16. I like to cut into "steak fries"
drizzle with oil, dust with a liberal amount of a seasoning blend (Mrs. Dash type product), and roast in a pretty hot oven (425-450). They get crunchy on the outside and stay moist inside. Yum, yum.

21. I'd slice them into 1cm slivers, dredge in EVOO and season lightly. Then bake on
Edited on Thu Sep-29-11 07:50 PM by Shagbark Hickory
450 for 20 minutes or if you have an oven that works, maybe 425 for 15.

If you don't have the patience or time for that crap then just jab it with a fork stick it in the microwave for 13-15 mins and be done with it.
