I called my daughter this morning, after hearing nothing all night, and THEY ARE GOING HOME!

The baby is fine, airways wide open!

My daughter said it was the worst night of her life, with struggles to get the IV in, and her daughter crying...

But all is well now, at last.

She'll be on steroids for a few days, and then that's it.

I have 6 granddaughters, 3 grandsons and 2 great-granddaughters. We are fortunate that we live in a time of sophisticated medical care and especially fortunate if we have access to it. For most of human history half of children died before age 3. Happily, few of us here have to experience that sort of heartbreak.
