I dug out my old Waring centrifugal juicer and decided to use it.
I had a booklet by a guy named Apple Tony in my cookbook collection, and read it.

1. I found mine to be too much trouble to clean... |

. . . ... but while I was using it, my favorites were carrot/apple juice (about 50/50) and white grape juice (though a little too sweet). . BEST thing I made was a honeydew melon milkshake, though I could have done that with just a blender. . Worst were my attempts at V-8 copies. I think that DOES require a LOT of salt to be good. And I found out that parsley juice is the prettiest juice EVER -- this beautiful dark emerald green -- but should be kept to a real bare minimum as one of the ingredients as it's also the most bitter juice you'll ever taste. . . .

3. Try spirulina instead. It comes in a powder and has almost no flavor at all. |

But it is packed with iron and trace minerals.

2. Yup. It makes me feel sooo much better when I do it. |

I like a base of apple, carrot, and tart cherry, with ginger, then I add whatever else I am in the mood for. Yummy with just those things though.
