What do you call the standard eggbeater?

I think it has a proper name. Anybody know???

There was a great cartoon I saw (too explicit to post)

It had a guy going into the hen house and his son running up behind him calling:

"Pa! Ma wants you to scramble her eggs once your done in there!"
The explicit part was all the chickens running around. They had the funniest expressions and some other features that ought not be mentioned.
