anyone else watching "Vietnam in HD"

I was a pre-teen during that time. I remember Woodstock, I remember the moratorium, the draft (I have 2 older brothers), peace marches. I remember seeing it reported on the news. But being so young I never knew that much.

This series is riveting. My god, what a time that was with the Vietnam war. What a waste.

The movie has real footage and veterans. It is both heartbreaking and horrifying listening to them and watching footage of what they are speaking about.

One vet came home feeling patriotic and he was practically pissed on by people. He got very emotional saying that.

Martin Luther King, Robert Kennedy.

So much was happening at this time.

Check out the series if you are interested. It's on the History Channel and I think they are repeating it.

I too thought the part where they described coming home and getting strange looks/taunted/harassed was very telling of how lasting its impact has been on how we view those who wear the uniform.
