HELP! The Mate-on-watch just found the All-Christmas-Song radio channel
I stand bridge watch on this ship 12hrs a day and will be here for 3 more weeks.

If you see on CNN that a ship's run aground near Mobile,AL, you can say to yourself, "damn, NW had all he could take"...or "shit, I know that wacky bastard"

Oh fuck me, the Chipmunk Christmas song is on.

4. Or have someone call in the report of an iceberg, maybe... All hands on deck...
Oh, that deck. Deck the Halls with Boughs of Holly.

Gosh, but I'd go crazy if it was the chipmunks or the dogs..

So sorry. Glad I'm not there.

3. I had a one-hour Sunday night comedy/novelty show on the radio here in Tucson...
.
.
.
... and there is so much GOOD, funny Christmas music that I would do a Christmas-music-themed
show for all four Sundays preceding the holiday.
.
And not a single barking dog or mewing kitten carol... Grandma never got runned over by no
reindeer and chipmunks were more likely to be "roasting on an open fire" (Bob Rivers) than
bothering folks with their inane songs .
.
.
.
I bet you'da liked 'em!!!
.

6. Start singing/humming along with all the songs until
he gets pissed and changes it. If it was me I would do the hum along.

9. Captain came up and put an end to that
Lucky for me, salty sea dogs and Wings 'Simply having a wonderful...' don't mix.

Ah silence.

8. Tom Lehrer - A Christmas Carol
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DtZR3lJobjw

"Christmas time is here, by golly,
Disapproval would be folly,
Deck the halls with hunks of holly,
Fill the cup and don't say "when."
Kill the turkeys, ducks and chickens,
Mix the punch, drag out the dickens,
Even though the prospect sickens,
Brother, here we go again.

On christmas day you can't get sore,
Your fellow man you must adore,
There's time to rob him all the more
The other three hundred and sixty-four.

Relations, sparing no expense'll
Send some useless old utensil,
Or a matching pen and pencil.
"just the thing I need! how nice!"
It doesn't matter how sincere it
Is, nor how heartfelt the spirit,
Sentiment will not endear it,
What's important is the price.

Hark the herald tribune sings,
Advertising wondrous things.
God rest ye merry, merchants,
May you make the yuletide pay.
Angels we have heard on high
Tell us to go out and buy!

So let the raucous sleigh bells jingle,
Hail our dear old friend kris kringle,
Driving his reindeer across the sky.
Don't stand underneath when they fly by.

Actually I did rather well myself, this last christmas. the nicest present I received was a gift certificate "good at any hospital for a lobotomy". rather thoughtful."
