My wife and I were having dinner at a pizzeria near Times Square. At one of the tables was what appeared to be a multi - generational family consisting of six adults and five kids. One little boy of five or six years old was running around the restaurant slapping people on the arm or leg and running back to I'm guessing his grandmother. No one at his table made any attempt to stop him. Most of the folks he hit just laughed it off or ignored him. At one point he hit a little girl in the back of her head. She turned and grabbed him by his shirt and smacked him in the face which sent him screaming back to his table. One of the younger women at his table stood up and started yelling "who hurt my baby?" There were six people at the little girl's table including an older gentleman, young adult male and female, two little boys and the little girl. The older gentleman went over to the table where the woman was yelling and the kid bawling. He whispered something in the ear of one of the men who apparently told the group they were leaving as they all got up put on their coats and headed for the exit. The elderly man then took a roll of bills from his pocket and tossed several on the table before returning to his group.
I love New York!
