What would you do about co worker who plays same music constantly
Edited on Fri Dec-02-11 07:38 AM by Danmel
All day, every day
boss indifferent
if I hear a certain song one more time, I might just kill myself. I would bring my own music in but it doesn't really help because I find it distracting when I am trying to write and think (both of which are a large part of my work)
he is obsessed with this particular performer and I am at wits end.
Thoughts??

2. Good ideas, but
I need to be on the phone a lot so headphones don't really work. He does running exaltations of his love for said singer , don't think ear buds will help. Boss thinks music in office is fine. At this point I would prefer Christmas music & that is saying a lot.

4. Say that your customers (or whoever is on the other end of the phone)
are asking about the music and why it always seems to be on. Imply that THEY think it is unprofessional or odd. The customer is alwys right.

10. I worked at an office where the boss played 'Phantom of the Opera' on a loop
If I ever meet Sarah Brighton, I will kill that tone-deaf bitch.

Though I am a mezzo, I had a good range (long gone to disuse). I started singing along, ON KEY.

11. Sounds like something I would do. I play the same song over and over again all the time.

14. I do that, too.
My husband is very patient. I have finally become aware of it to the point that after about a week, I change the music.

I am surprised that he hasn't said something, or hidden my Steve Goodman music.

13. I had a coworker who made me despise Bob Marley forever.
Find what you think would be the shittiest music in your coworker's opinion and see if they get the point that not everybody loves what they love.
