1. a quiet night here, too
my husband's jamming with a friend, so i'm solo for at least another couple hours.

indiana jones and the last crusade is on in the background (there is NOTHING on television) and i'm on the second of the two beers that were in the fridge. if it were 20 degrees warmer, i'd just walk to the liquor store, but 10 degrees is a bit cold for a beer run on foot.

2. It is warn here, the windows are open.
I will have a beer later.

I do like my goldfish crackers.

It was 17 degrees here last year, that was cold.

4. i've got a window open
i'd have a window cracked year round if my husband would let me, but anything below 60 is too cold for him.

17 is pretty cold, especially if you're not used to it. we're expecting single digits the next couple nights.

gold fish crackers are tasty.

6. I love the damn things.
So many plants died, even covered up.

I like for it to stay 40, no lower.

5. I am not doing much for Christmas this year.
I don't feel in the mood.

I did put up the tree and will put up a few lights outside.

It will be a quiet Christmas this year.

7. I'm waiting for the Christmas caroling to start in the street in about half an hour. And making...
Some bags of clothing and food donations to take to the drive downstairs. Other than that, been rearranging my studio. And it's almost 40 here but will freeze a little tonight.

The businesses down the street have put up Christmas lights but I can't afford anyhing like that anymore. I may put on a Christmas desktop picture on the computer, but I'm more likely to loop one of my many fireplace videos.

Oh, and I have to find and address some Christmas cards. I'm thinking of making one of those newsletter kind of things this year.

I don't do Christmas much anymore. No kid here. not so much fun.

What other color do Goldfish come in? I thought they were 'gold.'

8. Let's see.
The other colors are red, green and orange.

They don't taste any different.

I usually put up a lot of lights but not this year.

Just a few tomorrow.

This year has been a bust, I am just tired and wore out.

9. Yeah, you and me both, tired and stuff. At least I'm not 'calling ralph' today.
How did the Thanksgiving day ride go?

I'm hoping it will keep raining out there.

No snow here yet, but it is in the moutains.

Good for the ski junkies.

13. I had a nice 5 days away on Thanksgiving.
It was nice to get away for awhile.

Hoping next year will be better.

I just need a major change in my life.

It did rain a little today, not much.

I know more people not into the holidays this year.

14. I'm using Verilux lamps to combat S.A.D. Some doctors I know used them with a friend's son
To help him with his body rhythms and mood problems. I finally decided to give it a try and it's done wonders with my energy, concentrration and mood. I got one from Amazon last winter and COSTCO has them on sale. I bought one for my kid last week.

The sunlight level here has been so low, that my houseplants in my south window have been doing badly all year. I had to have on all my lights most days during the daylight, the sunlight was no help at all here. And the crops in the state haven't been all that good, either.

15. My Aunt and I had to move 10 head of cattle to a friends farm because of the drought.
The other cattle we sold off.

We kept the young cattle, they will be ready for breeding in the spring.

My Aunt is with them, along with all the other farm animals.

She is teaching a friend and his wife how to farm and raise cattle.

Good for all of us.

I miss going to the farm now, a friend is living on the farm now.

He is keeping a eye on the house, not the same.

Some of the land was burnt due to a fire, the grass will be back.

Not a great year.
