1. Poor mousy!
Yeah, first thing we all need to remember is that cats are hunters--and good ones, at that. We domesticated them promarily for that reason, and that mechanism has never changed.

I keep mine indoors and have for years--it keeps the number of dead animals down to a minimum, and I can replace "victims" with better smelling catnip toys at the same time. :)

There not as good with the mice, although we've had our share of bloody messes to clean up.
