She's in treatment...it was pretty bad. She is missed.

14. Peggy, I know you mean well but

posting your own feeling that she may have already died isn't an encouragement to someone in her struggle. I know that you were an RN. My RN friends who work in oncology tell me that most patients want more than anything for people to offer encouragement regardless of how dire the diagnosis is. Most don't want to be written off and that's how your post reads.

Some would ask why does it matter what we write on DU. It matters because in the past people have printed off well wishes and forwarded them. I wish that DUers would keep that in mind when posting in such threads.
