Even Shatner's goofy material (ever read "The Return"??!) is more entertaining than anything Berman and co. have done during the last 12 years. Well, I did like TNG season 7, but I think that was just a fluke of good luck...

Shatner probably cares more about Captain Kirk than he does about Star Trek (though I can't entirely blame him given the last 12 years of slop that's been made), but if his idea goes through then I'll give him a fair chance.

As long as Paramount execs give him the creativity and don't hijack events behind the scenes, then we MIGHT get something good. (Paramount was a real snot during the making of Trek V; continued budget cuts, Paramount wanting all that stupid humor in the script, and so on... it wasn't all Shatner's fault.)

Even on face value, as a gimmick, a Shatner-produced Trek series would get me interested. Can't say the same for DS9, Voyager, or especially Enterprise...

And also a pity they didn't do a Sulu series as well (which was a big rumor before 1995...)

Didn't know Vulcans dressed with such a glitzy Western influence... :eyes: Why not make her look like the Vulcans in the TOS episode "Amok Time"? Oh yeah, Berman hates TOS and would rather see "Enterprise" be a lead-in to TNG...
