Karma strikes Dallas Hummer dealership |
|
I just heard a spot on WRR, the Dallas classical music station, for Sewell Hummer. Seems that they have a big sale going on. Seems that a bunch of H-2s and H-1s got clobbered by a hailstorm a few days ago. Getcha Hummers, cheap!

That was just the first swing. Eff up the world more and it gets worse. Sadly, it will be our children who take the brunt of the reprecussions.

I just heard a similar radio ad today. Happens a lot. In fact, I think the auto dealers depend on these sales to drum up business, so I have this evil feeling that several of them swat golf balls into their vehicles if Mother Nature doesn't cooperate. :-)

6. Let me get this straight... |
|
a commercial version of a military vehicle that is supposed to be near indestructible gets damaged in a hail storm?! Oh, I forgot, I've been living in Bizarro World for a couple years!

7. I don't know...Hummers should have a few dents and scrapes. |
|
Makes them look like they've ACTUALLY BEEN DRIVEN OFF ROAD!
Instead, most go back and forth to corner drug store for the refills on the valium and viagra, and to "the club" on the weekend.

11. Hell! They should sell for more! |
|
Like pre-washed jeans! Broke-in Hummers? With that rained-in 7.62 and 50-cal slug look. God I had forgotten! I saw that so often in the 'Nam. It adds soooo much to the class of the vehicle.
I'll call Sewell tomorrow (seriously!). I know a VP there. I'll suggest a new marketing program:
STICKER + $10,000 for the "Bu$h Oil War" look. Limited Edition, with LE badge of course! 2% of the overage profit going to DU.

9. Wait, if I buy a discounted Hummer |
|
as a "business expense", can I still get the full tax deduction?
Seems like I might actually make a profit in the deal!!!
