2. M*A*S*H still gets 4 hours a day on FX
Edited on Fri Aug-15-03 10:28 PM by short bus president
after Buffy in the AM, and before Buffy in the afternoon. I dig 'em both, but seldom watch either, anymore. Seen every episode of each show at least once in the past year.

D'OH! on edit - my nominee for the worst programming move: CNN putting crossfire on in a 1/2 hour afternoon time slot and giving the 7-8 slot to another self-important blathering idiot.

5. yeah but
I used to watch it while getting ready for work. I know I could tape it but - anyway, it sucked replacing it with Buffy.

I concur on Crossfire. x(

9. BUY THE DAMN DVDS!!!
You get the FULL episodes, not the cut-up versions FX shows! Better picture too!

I know they've got the first two seasons out.

3. When Nick at Nite moved "All in the Family" and "Cheers"....

...to the graveyard shift and replaced it with bullshit programs like "Coach" and "Wings." I never watched those shows when they were new, and I damned sure won't be watching them now!

you wonder who watches them and shudder at the mentality. There's one on now - YES DEAR - have you ever seen this crap? These people are not funny, just f***ing annoying.

10. Most Modern Sitcoms Suck
Though they were before my time, where are the actually funny and gutsy shows like All in the Family and Stanford and Son?
I'd also throw in the over-showing of Scooby-Doo. SD is the most overrated cartoon alive with repeating plots, two-dimensional characters, and Scooby and Shaggy are such pathetic cowards that they need to be bribed to do anything remotely brave.
Love,
Yaoi Huntress Earth

4. Dropping good sci-fi shows just because...
...they don't get 50% of the audience in a timeslot.

Examples:

  • Max Headroom
  • Twin Peaks
  • Star Trek (even though they had jumped the shark)

11. Double takes or whatever the frig at Nick at Nite, 2 HOURS of Cosby...
Edited on Fri Aug-15-03 11:28 PM by tjdee
Nick at Nite has gone all crazy.

First it was cool, you know, 6 shows from 9-12. I remember when they were rocking Dobie Gillis and Patty Duke, Dick Van Dyke and Mary Tyler Moore, the original Dragnet.... I was introduced to them for the first time, ADORED it.
Then I guess they figured they wanted to leave the 50s/60s to TVLAND.

Now they have an hour of 3 different shows, and put All in the Family on at 2am. ?????? Do they even show Family Ties anymore?

And they have Cosby on at 9 AND 12. Jeebus! Two hours of Cosby? They couldn't put All in The Family on at 12?

Yes, I take it too seriously, LOL. It just irritates me.

12. Oh, and runner up, when FX took Mission Impossible off the air!
Dammit!

I wasn't born when they first ran, but got into them around the time the first Mission Impossible film came out, if memory serves. Back then, I was so enamored with the show I entertained joining the CIA.
I also had a thing for Martin Landau.

Maybe that should be number one. That really made me :( .
