Cong Ed Markey (D-Mass) says "homeland security my ___" he needs

your help to help YOU and is asking that you call both the SEnate and
house "Homeland SEcurity Appropriations Committee AND your own senators and reps to pressure them to provide safety for YOU.

They are refusing to pass his bill REQUIRING ALL CARGO PUT ON PASSENGER AIRLINES GO THROUGH THE SAME CHECKS AS PASSENGERS.

Right now they frisk you, put you through a magnetometer, put your luggage through x ray and then put you on a plane sitting on top of cargo that has never been checked in any way. You could be sitting on top of an A bomb or a box full of poisonous spiders....they dont know (or obviously care, what the hell you aint ashcroft, dimwit, or cheney, but you might).

Call/e mail/fax these reps and senators on the Homeland Secuirty Appropriations Committee and tell em you want Ed Markey's bill passed
cause he obviously cares about your safety while they don't. (They dont have to ...they have private planes with no cargo to travel on)

I agree with you. They talk a good game, but really don't give a damn. They can spend billions fighting an illegal war in Iraq, but tried to pull the air marshals from flights because they couldn't afford to put them up at hotels.:grr:

My freeper representative is on this committee! John Sweeney (R-NY). I sent him an e-mail, asking him to repeal the Patriot Act and I got a letter in the mail, explaining all the reasons he supports it. Now I know why! He will just love hearing from me, again! LOL!

2. While Ed Markey is on every tv news show revealing how unsafe flying

in America is because no one is checking the cargo that goes
on passenger planes, Dimwit Bush is on tv today saying flying is
perfectly safe and everyone should get on a plane.

Who you gonna believe?

Do me a favor, call up, e mail, fax the congressman listed above
in the header and demand they release the money to have x ray machines and security check the cargo that goes on passenger planes.

3. At least they recanted and the air marshals are still on board

They can spend millions in Iraq, but not on hotel rooms for air marshals' hotel rooms when they are on lay-overs.:crazy:
