H.R. 418 - Day of National Civil Disobedience on Internal Passports.
Edited on Sun Feb-13-05 03:37 PM by benburch
If and when HR 418 is passed into law, I call upon all true American Patriots to rebel against this measure. We need to all gather in public spaces around the country on either July 4th, 2005, or the nearest public holiday after implementation of the Internal Passport bill (for that is what this is, no matter what smarmy name they call it) and BURN our ID cards.

We need to commit to each other that we will never allow this very Soviet measure to control us, and that we will never carry this card no matter what the personal consequences.

If we give in to this, a new dark age will envelop what used to be the Land of The Free and The Home of The Brave, and our children's children's children will live forever with their necks under the jackbooted heels of The Republican Fascists.

Who here has the organizational skills to pull this off? I stand ready to do whatever I can.

1. Well, I don't have the organizational skills
but I will certainly help. I don't trust these people enough to let them have anything like this in their slimy hands.

2. Guys, you don't get it. This bill is the authorization for the death camps
This is not just about IDs. Ask any attorney. It was expected that the death camp bill would come in a form like this and it did. Look at Section 102. That's really what that section is all about.

3. They plan to locate death camps near the borders?

I think this is unconstitutional. LOL

Somebody better let the ACLU know, or are they on it already?

4. We ACLU members will be the first locked up in the death camps.
If and when they happen, do not harbor any fantasy about a judicial remedy.

Only direct action will have any effect whatsoever.

7. The whole thing is unconstitutional
You can't suspend all laws, not in the United States. Come on, people.

8. I've sort of been counting on that.
My ACLU card being my admission ticket to Bush's Gulags. After all, before they manage to starve us to death, just think of the conversations we'll have. Also think of THEM being left out there with nobody to talk to but each other. Without us, all that vapid dittoing is going to get old fast.

Yes this sucker is unconstitutional. However, it may stand, given the unconstitutional mentalities on the USSC.

6. Damned, Damned Republicans
The Republicans are looking more and more like the the American incarnation of Germany's National Socialists every day. Not only do we need to fight to repeal the Patriot Acts, but we need to put the Republican Party itself on trial for crimes against humanity. In the meantime, things are going to become increasingly ugly as these bastards desperately fight to cling to power and relevancy.

I wouldn't say that this will last forever, though. The regime will only last as long as this current grouping of crusty old WASPs continues to suck air. Whenever they finally perish, by whatever means natural or necessary, the entire world will certainly rejoice. America, however, will lay in ruins. Perhaps the Europeans and Chinese will eventually be the ones to help us rebuild this time.

9. Clearly, shortening the time they can suck air would be a Good Thing. nt
