I have a couple questions

I'm seriously thinking about having a protest or something like that in larger town near me, since from what I can tell there won't be one near here on March 19th... and I can think of a small group of family friends that would probably do it with me.

So now my questions:

Do I need a permit or anything if I do this? Like if I have a certain number of people?

Also are there some websites I should look at, or organizations I should contact about organizing such a thing?

I really have no idea what I'm doing, I just know I want to do it! :D
Any information you could give me would be greatly appreciated! Thank you in advance. :)

1. The easy answer is no permit--if you are walking down the street and holdi

holding a sign. If you want to do this at the town hall---you need a permit. See the email in my sig--need help let me know.

3. But wait--in a practical sense, you do what the city tells you to.

It's not whether you need a permit, its if the city SAYS you need a permit. Because you don't want them yanking you off the street.

Call the police department. There's one guy who knows exactly what to do. Talk to him. Do what he says. Have fun.
