5. We had a great turnout to support Democracy

Crowd was estimated at 5,000 by several papers. There were over 40 buses from throughout the state. Very diverse crowd. I've heard that this was the largest rally on a legislative issue since the civil rights movement. Mind you we did have larger anti-war rallies in Austin, but there was no bill before the legislature on that issue. At least not until after the rally when the repukes immediately felt they had to pass a bill supporting * and the troops.

10. I'm more than disappointed in him too

We worked so hard to get Lucia and Madla on board and Lucio became a solid Dem even with his heart condition, and leaving Texas against the advice of his Doctor. And Rodney Ellis with a new born child made the decision despite having to spend time away from his new born. All Whitmire could see were the dollar signs. That is a true sellout.
