Remember the March on Washington
On August 28th, 1963, our world was changed completely when more than 250,000 Americans marched on Washington in support of civil rights. The Civil Rights Movement transformed America -- and showed the great power of individuals who believed they can make a difference.
An enormous rally is planned to commemorate the event on Saturday, August 23rd. At 10:45 am, D.C.-area Dean supporters are meeting at the Washington Monument to join thousands of other Americans in remembering and celebrating the 40th Anniversary of the March on Washington.
Governor Dean will be stopping by the Commemorative Rally around 3:30 PM on Saturday.
