San Francisco Labor Day Festival
Free outdoor music show and picnic. Monday, Sept 1 - 11am to 5pm at Yerba Buena Gardens. Featuring a lineup of music-world notables who are also known for their commitment to social issues -- Holly Near, Linda Tillery, Utah Phillips, the Labor Rockin' Solidarity Chorus, Dr. Loco's Rockin' Jalapeno Band and, as emcee, Wavy Gravy. Activites for children are also on the bill. 415 543 1718.

2. Labor Day event is now history
It was a colorful event with perfect sunshine and the famous blue sky of San Francisco. I picked up a poster from the Labor activist booth which shouts out from my apartment window to STOP THE RECALL.
