Suggestion for LTTE campaign: Anti-War demonstrations in Sept.

I'd like to suggest that the DU Activist Corps. launch a LTTE campaign next month or in early September to raise awareness of the issues behind the upcoming anti-war demonstrations this fall.

I'm personally supporting the United for Peace and Justice effort, and I know there are a lot of DU'ers who also support ANSWER's campaign.

However, I'd recommend staying away from writing letters that push one organization's rally over another. Instead, let's focus on why we support the demonstrations and raise the issues behind why we oppose the continued US occupation of Iraq.

2. What about a LTTE campaign combined w/a campaign to encourage the media...

... to cover the 3-day event... including featuring & interviewing organizers and speakers? America is speaking... it's time for the media to listen, and give us the spotlight & the microphone.
