Bush refused requests for information about Bolton.

The opposition to Bolton was truly bi-partisan.

It was a Republican, Voinovich, who was most outspoken in opposition to Bolton.

Bolton was passed out of committee without a recommendation. This is very rare. They obviously felt there was a problem with the nomination.

The GOP could not muster the 60 votes needed to come to a vote.

Bolton is a danger to the United States. He will alienate us from the other countries in the world due to his lack of "diplomatic skills".

Bolton is already beating the war drums against Iran.

Every poll shows that Americans were deeply opposed to Bolton's nomination. Bush chose partisan ideology over following the wishes of the people he was (s)elected to represent.
