As I lay awake last night wondering what actions, even if only symbolic, could generate even more interest in Cindy's principled stand.
I came up with an idea for the ceremonial release of helium filled balloons, which could be used to signify a number of different things.
The balloons could all be yellow, or say, pink in color.
The balloons could be limited in number, say to 1800 or so to symbolize every single American who has died in Bush's lie. Or, perhaps 25,000 to 100,000 balloons of a contrasting color to symbolize the reported deaths of Iraqi civilians for this war.
The balloons could be released with little white crosses hanging from them, or perhaps a small note with instructions to write the White House asking the President: "Why Do They Have to Die for a Lie?" or "What Are You Afraid Of? Meet With Cindy", or any number of things.
Or, the balloons could be purchased, as a fund-raising effort, by those who have made the journey to join with Cindy in her steadfast determination to have the President stop using the memory of her dead son to justify his lies. That way, every person who visits Camp Casey or the Crawford Peace House could release a 'peace balloon' and perhaps write a personal note about why they came, and if found, a mailing address to note where it was found, and by whom, and if they agree with the message.
This balloon release would also be a visual event, generating further television network news interest.
Finally, if the balloons are released, they just 'might' be seen at that former pig-farm by 'you know who'...
