A traffic judge dismissed a $47 ticket against a Marin County teacher who was cited for honking her car horn in support of peace protesters.

I see why there is never a cop around when you need them. They are busy hassling people for little things. One good thing is that the judge had a brain.

5. It was just a bunch of wealthy folks whining
This really cool Doctor in Tiburon had been having these rallies streetside for quite a long time when this came up.
The nice thing about living here is that Tiburon/Belvedere is VERY liberal and VERY wealthy.
We can outspend the town council and the local prosecutor(s).
They knew this was a lost cause before it ever went to court.

7. the pro-war nuts used to blow whistles
They were truly obnoxious - luckily for us they only came out to play when the weather was perfect which doesn't happen too often in central Wisconsin. They got bored with the whole thing a few months into the invasion and we haven't seen them for a long time.

I haven't taken my honk for peace sign out to protest for a long time either- I would hate to give the cops a reason to give someone a ticket. People can drive by and yell f--- you but a toot could get you a ticket.
