Why are there no actions that involve calling into local talk radio call in shows?
I was just on KLIN correcting one of their guests (Gary Marx) who had claimed (Judicial Confirmation Network)was "a grassroots organization".
When he said the word "grassroots" I did a web search and found this on the first page...
http://www.dailykos.com/storyonly/2005/7/5/91341/50154I've been calling into the local talk radio call in shows, and calling some out of town shows that have a toll free number.
These are the stations that broadcast Ingraham, Rush, Hannity, O`Reilly, Savage, ect.
Don't bother calling the national shows because you'll never get on the air to make a point.
Their "callers" range from mostly scripted to entirely scripted shills.
The local shows are entirely different.
Though hosted by Bushbots they don't have the same call screening process as the syndicated shows.
You can get on the air and correct them on any misinformation they're repeating.
You can get on the air to answer their questions when they ask for callers.
You can have your point heard by many thousands of people with much less time and effort than it takes to write a letter to the editor.
Finally, since you're calling into a Bushbot station, you're reaching those most in need of the sort of reality chech that an articulate DUer can provide.
