Proposal for DU Group: Nonviolent Civil Disobedience

Our mission statement:

The mission of the DU Nonviolent Civil Disobedience Group is to drive Bush from office as quickly as possible through fearless and creative action. We will use the power of the Internet to instigate direct, nonviolent action in the streets.

Members of the forum will:
1. Plan, publicize, and carry out creative acts of Civil Disobedience.
2. Make ties with other activist groups outside DU and work with them.
3. Alert DU to calls for Civil Disobedience from other groups.
4. Do more than circulate petitions, write email and posts, and march along legal protest march routes.
5. Share the experience of grizzled old activists with angry young whelps.

I've had enough, people. We can't react to Bush's crimes like we're FEMA - lumbering, timid, and ineffective.

but how much attention should we put towards political figures, and how much should we put towards media that refuses to show the truth?
I'm still of the opinion that what won the '04 election for the republicans wasn't themselves, but rather the media. And the only reason Bush hasn't been impeached for his various lies and manipulations is because the media hasn't let people know about them.

Write, put up signs make, and distribute pins, put up signs, at home and elsewhere....I live on a kind of main drag -so I can free way blog form the convenience of my own home- but I've some at the train stations and on more major roads occasionally NJ Parkway and 22 etc. Impeach Bush signs are as inexpensive as you want them to be, Priceless IMHO.
