A local restaurant manager gave a breastfeeding mother a hard time the other day, insisting she take her baby to the bathrooom to nurse her. The mother was deeply offended but surprised and told him to go eat his meals in the bathroom! Great response! They were at a family restaurant in a separate room with a children's party going on. The manager said he didn't want the other kids to see it! She finally just ignored him, but felt irritated enough to talk about it.
I'm considering writing an informative letter to the local news paper, or actually staging a nurse-in. It is against the law in Texas to interfere with a mother breastfeeding her baby in any place where either has the right to be.
I think I'd rather go with the low key approach: the informative letter to the paper, not naming the restaurant, etc. What do you think?
