Organizers, I have a bathroom question.

LOL, this is certainly different from the threads seen recently. Move if needed.

3 day event, hopefully around 3000 people there. It is early June and usually hot. No beer for sale but allowed if you bring it. There are 6 air conditioned stalls for men and 6 for women. Would you add porta potties? Last year the attendance was about half this and there was not a real need for them but we don't want to be shorting the "break" rooms.

This is not a political event so mods you can move this to the lounge but I was afraid to post it there because I need serious advice from people who have organized events before. We hate to waste money if we don't need to since this is a charity event.

And it's worked out well. You might be a little short with that figure.

Last year it was very hot but they had fewer people and way too many porta potties. I recall that being as hot as it was I never needed to use them at all but then I was not drinking beer.

2. What should be the ratio of mens to womens toilets?

I've been at many a theatre event where the woman's queue is
easily twice as long in a balanced-sex group. Clearly it takes
longer to undo the clothes and sit, than to stand and dribble,
perhaps the ratio should be more like 3:2 womens to mens toilets
to be fair, or even 2:1 womens to mens.

3. That was my first question

about this. The porta potties are for either sex but we could put signs on them. I agree. I stood in a line at an airport a couple of weeks ago that made my husband worry. He left thinking I had gone on to the gate but I was just waiting in a line that took 20 minutes.

right about that. I don't know and it isn't my event but my husband's and he knew there would be people here who had organized things and would know. I actually have an event to plan for next year so this will be helpful to me for that time. Thanks.
