About 75 people rally in Reno against war in Iraq

"The U.S. war in Iraq is an endless fire consuming lives, resources and the fragile possibilities of peace," <Shane Piccinini of the Sierra Interfaith Action for Peace> said. "The war threatens stability of the region, and it is filled with strong provocation for other wars in the region."

Peace activist Lisa Stiller, whose 25-year-old son is serving in the Army in South Korea, said October has been one of the bloodiest months of the war.

"How many deaths, how many injuries, how much destruction will it take until our leaders listen to us?" she asked. "Listen to the majority - bring the troops home." ...
