Anyone with Veterans For Peace in DC today?

One of my Very Good Friends has recently found her political streak, and is this weekend marching in DC (for the first time I believe) with a local contingent of VFP... since she became involved, I have been trying to steer her towards DU, but I am not sure that she has found her way to our lovely online home just yet.

Her name is Kate - a wonderful, energetic, beautiful (glowing inside and out) kind of girl, from Asheville NC. I was just hoping that if anyone rom VFP was blogging from the march in DC, and happened to have met my dear friend Kate from Asheville, if they might give her a huge hug and a high five, and tell her that her lefty pals Ed and Jem from Ashveille sent her their best - more to show her the love and reach of DU's great community than anything else, but also just as a great way to give her props for finding her voice, for riding that bus, and for taking a stand.

Soooooo.. if any of y'all are with VFP this weekend in DC, you wont be able to miss her... Happy Kate from Asheville... give her a big hug, will ya ?
