how can they convict HIM of murder when the trigger man was able to plead self defense?

i am not sure i understand something in your comment. i know that Mauriceo Brown claimed self-defense, and those facts will never be fully known, but he was executed/vengeance-killed for the "murder," last year.
maybe you knew that in making your comment, but i just want to be sure you know that happened.
