The Winter Lobbying Campaign is in full swing, and Congress has been flooded with letters and calls. Now is the time we can make a difference. To become a sponsor of the Winter Lobbying Campaign, click on this link.

The Democratic Party leadership has thus far been unwilling to take responsibility for impeachment -- even though its base constituency supports it. Unable to table Kucinich's impeachment resolution, the anti-impeachment Democrats were able to pass a motion that required the resolution go to the House Judiciary Committee -- chaired by Rep. John Conyers (D-MI) -- "for further study."

Now is not the time to let up. Impeachment might not yet be on the table, but it is certainly in the room.

To take advantage of this window of opportunity, we are encouraging all impeachment supporters to take a moment to call Rep. Conyer's office at (202) 225-5126. Make it clear that you support House Res. 333 for the impeachment of Dick Cheney, and want Rep. Conyers to carry out his constitutional duty to advance Articles of Impeachment.

After you have made your phone call, take 30 seconds to fill out a form letting us know you took action. To fill out the form, click this link.

Clearly the Democratic leadership says they will "study" impeachment as a way to put it off indefinitely, but we say: yes, please do study it. Any honest and open-minded study would reveal right away that the crimes of the Bush administration are indeed impeachable. As the Articles of Impeachment drafted by Former Attorney General Ramsey Clark say, Bush administration officials "have committed violations and subversions of the Constitution of the United States of America in an attempt to carry out with impunity crimes against peace and humanity."

ImpeachBush has decided to launch an intensive few months to lobby Congress. This Winter Lobbying Campaign will begin in full force after Congress's Thanksgiving break. Bush's approval ratings are at an all-time low, and with intensifying threats against Iran, our mission is needed as much now as ever before. We are appealing to you to become an initial sponsor so that we can hit the ground running. To become an initial sponsor of the Winter Lobbying Campaign, click on this link.
