11. I just agreed to house Obama organizers for the campaign. I hope

my husband doesn't shoot me. But I know some of the twenty-somethings who have been on Obama's campaign staff from the beginning. And they would certainly appreciate a good meal and a nice place to sleep, not to mention a washer/dryer at their disposal.

These are great people, and anyone who can offer a couch or a bed and some clean sheets for the tireless workers, can do so without any qualms.

12. A New Strategy that will get votes

I believe we should employ a new strategy to win over independents and on-the-fence republicans. How often do you believe an avid supporter of someone on the other side of the fence? How often do independents take politically-involved activists seriously? Not often. We all know that activists very often come off to independents as passionate but annoying people just pushing their own agenda. They often get ignored. I think if we swamped the political forums as "fellow independents" just clerverly mentioning links to unbiased media such as FactCheck.org, we could educate the independents with the truth. Sure, they might see a stretched truth from an Obama ad here and there, but the lies from McCain-Palin on FactCheck.org beat out Obama 10:1! So in this election, a truely educated independent will be an Obama-Democrat, hands down! That is if we can educate them with the truth-and not spin. The good news is, WE don't have to spin the truth to make our side look good! We just have to spread it!

This will only work if it is done in a way that it is known to the independent (and everyone reading that post) that the information contained within IS the truth and the links are to unbiased sources that state fact, and not just another activist pushing their own view with their own sources of spun media. This will ONLY work if we use references such as FactCheck.org or PBS.org, not MSNBC, other corporate media, or much worse. And please make sure you check your OWN facts on a site like this before posting (especially if you go about it with a strategy like this).
