Going to Ohio for Obama
I'm a 48 year old construction worker and I've been inspired by others to travel from Jersey City, New Jersey to Youngstown, Ohio to help Obama win this election. Sitting on my couch and complaining isn't enough. This is one of the most important moments in our nation's history. I want to do something to make it happen. So I'll be doing what I can this weekend in Ohio. November 4th I'll be doing the same in Jenkintown, Pennsylvania. And yes, this truly does make me feel Proud to be an American.

:hi: I'm fortunate enough that I live in a battleground state (Virginia) where I can volunteer. It is ever more expensive and takes more time out of your personal life if you have to travel. I really admire you for it.

you'll find lots of volunteer housing but no guarantee of anything more than open floor space to spread your bag.

Hope to see you in the Buckeye state soon. (Don't get too depressed at what you find in Youngstown, it is the heart of the rust belt!)
