Dear Michael Steele,
In an interview with the Washington Times' Cal Thomas, printed March 11th, you said that President Obama's quest for bipartisanship was not a political reality. You said at the time that bipartisanship was, "a fiction of politics."
Furthermore, on March 29th, you said during a CNN interview that you were "done" with bi-partisan politics - you actually told the President of the United States, "You do your thing. I'll do my thing."
And it would appear, Chairman Steele, that your "thing" happens to be a series of disorganized personal attacks against duly-elected democratic officials.
In a recent e-mail which you sent out to RNC supporters, you asked fellow republicans to to protest increased taxes on the April 15th Tax Day deadline by sending a virtual tea bag to prominent democrats, in total disregard that the taxes citizens are, today, digging into their pockets to pay were those that were instituted by President Obama's predecessor - George W. Bush.
To this end, you asked the recipients of your mass e-mail to send "virtual" tea bags to the democrats that defeated your RNC candidates on Election Day.
You also made your request to direct your constituient's anger towards the Bush Administration's tax rates at our elected democrats with your hand held out, like a street beggar, asking that these same republican supporters donate money to the Republican Party.
For your arrogance - for your contempt for bipartisanship - and simply for being a collossal heel - here is a GREEN Tea Bag of your very own:
May you find comfort in this organic blend of tea, as you contemplate why your political organization has disappeared from the American political landscape, UNDER YOUR SO-CALLED LEADERSHIP.
Sincerly,
