Would a "stop buying everything" campaign to slow the economy
help defeat BushCo or would it just steam people off, do you think?

If it would work, when would be the ideal time to kick it off?

1. terrible idea
regardless of the election, a slowing of the economy would hurt countless families. Maybe you could afford it, but millions in this country would be devastated by further economic erosion.

5. Stop buying goods produced by outsourcing could make a point.
A campaign to buy only goods and goods produced by outsourcing and by companies evading taxes by basing off shore would seem to meet both a criteria for education and support Senator Dodd's amendment to change tax laws to stop the rewarding of companies who take jobs out of the US. What do others think?

6. I think it would work.
They say our biggest voice and vote is with our wallets. I say vote early, vote often. Support mom&pop businesses only. If we could get a shit load of people to cancel their cell phones, stop going to pro sport events. Boycott the big stores and restaurants. Buy no cars, appliances, Nike's/Reebok's etc., computers, etc, etc..... Shrub is counting on the consumers to keep spending. Shut down the spending and make him look bad. I'd get rid of cable if it wasn't for c-span.
