Bush in Ardmore! Monday, March 15!
George W. Bush will be in Ardmore on Monday March 15th. Come and join the Bryn Mawr Peace Coalition, the Sierra Club and others as we demonstrate against his reckless foreign, economic, and environmental policies.
Bush will be visiting newly remodeled Section 8 homes at 1 pm and then will travel to the Ardmore YMCA at 1:30 pm for a conference on affordable housing or a fund raiser (we are not sure which).
If you would like to Demonstrate there are two options.
1) Meet at the corner of Spring Ave and Ardmore Ave between 12 and 12:30 pm (Spring Ave is about halfway between Haverford Ave and Lancaster Ave.) Mapquest Map
2) Stand on the Sidewalk on Montgomery Avenue in front of Suburban Square beginning at 1pm. YMCA, St Georges & Montgomery Ave, Ardmore, PA 19003 MapQuest Map
There are no details available about how the Secret Service will be arranging "security" so decisions will have to be made on location. This will be a peaceful demonstration and the Lower Merion Police Department has approved this action. The best way to defeat a bully is to stand up to him and voice your disapproval. This is a great opportunity. He is coming to our neighborhood and will tell the nation that he is "helping" us. We all know he is not, so let’s make sure that he knows it and hopefully the media will report it.
If you have any questions, please call Ricki Petersohn or Hank Wilson at 610-525-2366 (Creative Way Needlepoint store) or email BrynMawrPeace@comcast.net . Please forward this email to as many people as you can.
Hope to see you there,
Scott Sidlow
