salutation changed to protect....me :) )
Friday, March 19, marks the first anniversary of the beginning of the war in Iraq. TrueMajority members, along with many others around
the world, worked hard to try to stop this war before it began. We argued that the United Nations inspectors should be given the time
needed to see if Saddam Hussein was hiding weapons of mass destruction. We argued that no nation had a right to invade another on a
hunch.
Of course, we didn't stop the war. But now we are harnessing the
huge outpouring that arose to oppose the war as we try to hold
Bush accountable in the coming months. Together we can make a
difference.
We will each mark the first anniversary of the war in our own ways.
Some will silently pray by themselves. Others will join large public
rallies condemning the war. Below, we offer some resources to help
you in whatever way you choose to get involved.
As an organization, we have joined with MoveOn.org and the Win
Without War coalition to run a series of ads in print and on
television calling on Congress to hold Bush accountable. Today we
are holding a news conference in Washington to announce the ads
with the other groups and family members of people in the military.

We encourage you to mark the day in whatever way you feel most comfortable. We've set up a way for you to easily send a letter to the
editor of your local newspaper calling for Bush to be held accountable. Just click here. It's easy.

If you haven't done so already, send Congress a fax calling for censure of the president here:
