Arts and Crafts for activists - updates plus looking for submissions
Hi all,
A year or so ago, I put together a page called "Arts and Crafts for Activists." The idea was to pull together information on creative protesting. The page includes everything from making wheat paste to how to make effective banners to how to make your own bumperstickers. (The official promo for the page reads: Not sure how to create an overpass banner that won't be mistaken for a homeless guy's dirty laundry? Having trouble sticking that "Impeach Bush" sign to a telephone pole? Entertaining 20 hungry vegans after a protest and you're all out of tofu? Does the head keep falling off your Bush effigy? This is the page for you.)

recently updated it to add First Amendment flash mobs and freeway blogging. The page is here: http://www.falloutshelternews.com/ArtsAndCrafts.html

I am actively seeking submissions for the page. Please write me at carols@falloutshelternews or PM me at DU if you have any links, ideas or actions that have worked for you in past actions. I am particularly looking for pages/info on effective letter-writing, lobbying and street theater.

Please share your experience with other progressive groups and new activists. Thank you!
Carol
